When I go to playback with the EVF the screen freezes and starts to flicker vertically. For this reason I haven't used the EVF much. Has anyone else experienced this?

Not supported in the case means not guaranteed to work. I don't believe there have been any changes to how the EVF performs during playback between 2.0.5 and 3.0.0

It happends to me too. 3.0.
It really sucks, because finally Ive got the Side handle and it is so good to shoot with just evf and side handle and leave the touch lcd at home for some guerrilla shoots.
I guess we'll have to wait for a new firmware update. :-/
