One of the most important things a panel allowe you to do is to adjust two parameters at once. You often need to balance gamma against lift or gamma against gain, for example. A panel allows you to do that much more interactively, rather than going back and forth between the two controls with a mouse.

Did you mean 1080 25 timeline?

Yes, 1080p timeline outputting via ultrastudio sdi. I'm thinking a gtx 580 would have been a better choice but i needed to save some money so this will get me by for now. Ive read that with a 580 its possible to playback 1/2 good for 1080p timeline in premier. I can only do 1/4 debayer with my 560ti with 2gb of ram.

Super stable--never any crashes. My iPad is a lot less reliable than my Win7 x64 workstation.

    More stable and Mac OS?

In general, you will find several reports of Resolve builds on these forums based around X79, Core i7 39xx and GTX 580s. That has unanimously proved to be a high performance, stable and very cost effective build around these parts.

If you're talking about crashes by the OS itself, even XP 32-bit w/ all the Service Paks was extremely stable.

OK...I was wrong about reliably running 4k 1/2 Good debayer on my 3930k processor in Davinci Resolve for a 1080p25 timeline. My CPU is at 99-100% the whole time and I'm getting 22-24 fps. My system runs perfectly if I'm using 4k 1/4 Good debayer. At 1/4 debayer my CPU's are running at about 50%. Seems like Resolve is quite good at using all the cores at the same time. Anyone else have similar experience with the 3930k processor? My GUI GPU is Quadro 580fx and my CUDA GUP is 570ti with 2GB of ram.

EDIT: With 4KHD footage I can get 1/2 Good debayer in real time. But not with regular 4K as noted above.
