    Patrick,
I debated posting this on several occasions. I can assure you, the issues are clear. It has been 4 months with absolutely no reply from Randy. I have left dozens of messages. The last communication was on 12/9/11, it was an apology and a promise. Neither have been fulfilled. Not even a reply to say "fuck you". Since his last words were a promise to rectify the situation, im going to assume he knows he deceived me. He clearly did as he emailed photos of one item and shipped another.
But, this post isnt about me. Im a big boy and can handle my affairs. This is a warning to others. I have spoken privately to several people on this forum who had similar issues with this seller.

As far as Randy goes, I only hope he finds this thread and explains the situation.

Unless this person is dead, I'd say he has some explaining to do.

Patrick, If the guy scammed he did it. Read Greg's Post again. If you have "NOTHING TI HIDE" call Greg back - MAKING EFFORTS to fixed the harm. Patrick if he was innocent he would be on this post defending himself vigorously. Sure mistakes happy and views differ. Therefore, find a solution to fix it. I'm sure Greg would have some respect for that. It is not okay to attack other so you have a dollar.

There are many ways to fix some hurt of others if you are willing and even if it's to buy back (refund) to save face and humility. This guy was set out to deceive and didn't know he pick a wrong prey that would stand up and speak for himself and warn other. Glad you have Greg people like this need to be identified for other people's sake. This world has gotten so self-centered that any moral values fly quickly out the door when there is a buck involved!!! SAD SAD SAD WHOM ALL WE WOULD HARM TO EARN A DOLLAR!!!!!

Apparently Randy Che is logged in right now and viewing this page so hopefully he's going to speak up... And your correct, he is not listed as a member of the CSC.

Patrick, our firm greatly appreciates Greg's post.

Randy is lucky...In the few instances when this appears to be happening with any our our deals, we audio tape the conversations and keep the email exchanges. If it doesn't get rectified, we post the whole correspondence -- amazing how many times that clears up any amnesia that occurs.

I think it's rather sad that my call for reasonable fairness - and I had nothing else in mind - is seen as weakness, kitsch or sentimental. It just shows that we are truly homo duplex. But since I don't really care about poor little Brandon, and since this thread is not about me, I won't go any further.

To the rest - especially Greg - I am not questioning your motive, neither do I deny your right to blame a cheater and actually appreciate it. I am just trying to promote caution in such matters, as they often are based on misunderstandings. In such cases, it is often better to stay neutral and not just chastise anybody. 4 month is of course a long time and makes it sound more legit. Randy not coming forth strengthens your claims (although shame can have many forms and weakens the bravest).
Again, my post was not against Greg and not for Randy, just for fairness and the opportunity for both parties to speak up - and if one does not, the other will have truer claim.

Just so you understand what I mean, he a little story:
Several weeks after Andy, a friend and roommate of mine, died in a car accident 2 years ago (drunken driver got him), a letter from the police came, in which he was called in for questioning, being accused of internet fraud.
Apparently he had sold one of his snowboards online. And as it turned out later, he had it fixed in a shop as he had discovered a faulty binding he had not declared in the item description online. He wanted to fix it for the buyer before the sale went through, but it took a little longer then expected until he got it back from the shop.

The guy on the other end must have felt very much like Greg.
He bought something from a guy he never met over the internet... After he had sent the money, the guy tells him that the item was still in the shop (some weird ass story about a loose binding) and after some apologies they came to an agreement that he would get the board in a week, tops! But it never came. The guy did not answer any mails anymore and the money was gone. He must have have been a scammer. Right?

Andy got killed on the way back from a home depot, where he had bought some wrapping material (among other stuff), to ship the board, which he had picked up the same day. Nobody knew.
After clarifying the situation with the police, Andys brother got in touch with the guy who bought the board and sent it to him and returned the money too, for the trouble.
Things like that happen. And this is the reason why I wrote my piece. Our own perspective tends to blind us to that of others - a very bad notion if you are a cinematographer by the way.
We are all the center of our own reality.

There is nothing wrong with what Greg did when he opened this thread, quite the opposite. Greg wants to warn the community and that is rightfully appreciated by others (including me). But forming a lynch mob right away is not a good idea either, is all I am trying to say.
