Ketch, you are fast, I made a few phone calls to arrange to rent this lenses locally to try it and mean time you sold it, true Italian:-)

I see it in B&H store in NY listed but out of stock

Did you try to use this lenses on models in natural PM light inside the room?

From the charts it looks like it is sufficiently sharp when stepped up to 1.4

Also what I hear, it is very bright lens regardless the speed.

However If you were to become serious about it I can put out a word amongst my Photographers colleagues, and see to source an other, I have already sourced 3, and they are gone... ;)

Wish Leica had put more to work, but then again it was already a most popular lens before, and now its insane!!

Well, depending on the gear I'm selling, yeah I'm fast... ;)

And now have two more buyers which have put themselves on the list for me to find them a Noctilux .95

    Andrew,

this lens is phenomenal on a Mid size shot to full body, and of course full city scape and land scape shots, and yes it is extremely brighter then any other lens I ever shot, and it is actually fantastic WO for portraits, as when you stop down the lens from f/1.8 f/2.8 it becomes super sharp, were at f/4 f/5.6 it becomes insane!!

I have chosen this lens as to interact for RAPE of a BEAUTY with the RPZ 18-85, RPP 300 and the Ultra Primes 28mm and 65mm, the Noctilux .95 is that good.

Ketch, Since I don't think the Red M mount will be available right away I for the Spacecam mount and am about to try it with the Noct. I would love jarred's M Mount but spacecam and Ron and I go way way back to Gyrosphere days and I will give it a chance... But I will post my findings here soon..... Just switched from the Panavision mount to my Canon mount on my Epic.

Yes you are right Peter, and I hope you get good results, I just don't see it as a good option, but when there is none, then is good in off... ;)

Thanks Keith, but this lens I would only buy literally NEW, its way to special a lens to buy used, and actually I just got an other Brand New one to sale too, but with so many looking to get this lens, and so few around, I'm sure your friend's lens will sale fast as well,
I know of people paying up to 15k now for a Noctilux, but I refuse to pay and or sale such lens above 14k, for this I sold all the Brand New ones for less then 14k... ;)

The 0.95 is brand new, the f/1 is used but very clean.

I red few articles that new one (.95) is much better in terms of resolving power.
Also when stepped up (down) a bit the new one is sharp edge to edge where old one is not.

As Ketch calls it "stop down the lens from f/1.8 f/2.8 it becomes super sharp, were at f/4 f/5.6 it becomes insane!!"

I think I can use it underwater "live model" photos with much less light.
Too much light underwater kills the whole natural effects, or impression of no water.
