If someone can host it for me that would be better.....at the moment I'm sharing it via drop box which requires an email...so if you want to check out the R3D, you need to send me your email! I also have the samurai's recording of this and it's awesome...when coming from DSLR land, you really appreciate the 10 bits, lack of banding, super high detail, highlight roll off and noise pattern. Interestingly, my samurai isn't recording black borders at the sides like others have been complaining about....even at 2k.

It's technically impressive looking footage to me because (1) I shot and lit for 1600 ISO, (2) I shot it at 2K (3) The skin tones are quite nice for fluorescent lighting (one light) and (4) it's sharp!!! Most of the 2K footage I have seen so far hasn't been very reassuring.....this Wednesday I will be spending a whole day doing a range of tests...can't wait to see what this sensor can do!

Matthew, did you do something "special" while shooting to achieve this kind of imagery in 2K, I mean change some settings in a certain way etc.?

It's just that I keep reading and hearing about 2K being soft and noisy and all kinds of "not good enough", and this image proves all that whining wrong.

I know right!??? What the hell!!?? I didn't do anything special I can assure you...although the lens that saw this (Nikkor AI 85 1.4 @ f4) is a stunning piece of glass. I have wider shots of the same scene that are equally as clean...but you should see the 320 ISO at f2 shots....OMG....not a spec of noise even in the lower qtr mids/shadows. That being said, when I first got the cam I shot some stuff from my desk and it looked horrid. I don't know what to say, other than keep testing and playing. My goal, before I even got the cam, was to get the ultimate quality out of the cam at 2K - because then anything above that will look even better. I feel like I'm close :)
