  1. #1 RED Rocket Help Question - RR Callback - Decode Failed
I'm shooting using the Epic and I'm getting some errors during transcoding with the RED Rocket

    Timebase: 23.98
    Resolution: 2KWS
    Framerate: 300
    RC Ratio: 12:1
    Firmware: 2.0.5

    I'm transcoding to:
    APR422 LT, 29.97, Full Debayer

Attached is a screen grab the status messages.

Can anyone tell me what they mean? Or how to resolve the issue?

I sometimes run into this - always resolved with a proper shutdown and reboot. (restart doesn't always clear it). Just speculation, but seems as though the RR gets upset and needs a time out :)

What version of RCX are you using? What version Driver and Firmware for the RR?

I've had weird things like this happen to me as well, my fix was to eventually delete my preference files. I think something was corrupted in my prefs somehow and by deleting them it made RCX start fresh and the errors were gone. I believe this was on build 10 or so.

Pref files are found in: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Red/RedCineX/Preferences

    I did get it resolved!

The solution was...Go to your "Crop" settings and crop the frame.
After I did that, it worked without any dropped frames.
No clue why, but it seemed to get everything Transcoded fine.

Let me know if that works.

Dealing with the same problem myself. Actually had to turn down a job due to it.

2009 quad core Mac pro. Installed my buddies card, did installation process to the T and anytime I tried to open up epic footage I wouldn't get anything in the viewer and in the status pane had the same errors you're having.

Tried all the fixes in here and couldnt get it to work.

I know I've had trouble playing back 5K footage with the rocket, in full res that is. Try switching to 1/2 res, crop your image (crop tool on the right)
Also, I forgot to mention to mark ins and outs on the footage.
