    Hello all!

Received my Quad Charger and RedVolt XLs yesterday, and was able to use them on a shoot last night. Thanks Jarred!

The XLs are twice as wide as the regular RedVolts, so they will NOT fit in the side handle. They are also deeper, so they stick out from the Quad Battery Module a bit. Battery life is great though, I wasn't even thinking about it while shooting.

The Quad Charger worked great. Not sure how long it took to charge the XLs, but it was great charging two at the same time. By the time we went through one XL the other two were done charging... at least it seems like it. The build quality of the charger is excellent, as is expected from RED. The handle on top is a great addition when picking up and moving the charger. The regular RedVolts should charge pretty fast with it, but I haven't tried that yet.

    UPDATE:

Total run time with 2 RedVolt XLs, no side handle battery, was almost 3 hours, 2:59:10 to be exact.

This was powering the 5" Touch LCD as well as the RedMote. Side handle was attached but with no battery installed.

You could probably get another 25-30 minutes with a battery in the side handle.

Charge time was approximately 1 hour and 42 minutes. This charged 2 XL batteries.
    Dimensions:

    Quad Charger:

Weight: about 4 lbs, 14 ounces.

    Dimensions (LxWxH): 5 1/2" x 4" x 6 1/2" (with rubber feet)

    RedVolt XL:

Weight: about 1 lb, 10 ounces.

    Dimensions (LxWxH): 3 5/16" x 3 3/16" x 3 9/16"
Here are some pictures I snapped:

Wow, both XLs and the charger are bigger than I expected. In fact I remember Jarred uploading an early photo of the quad and it was waaay smaller back then, closer to the Quad Battery module in size.

Well, anyway, just bring it to the store already, those Redvolts of mine are craving for fast energy)

    Thanks!

I'll have more info regarding running time and weight later this week.

The Quad Charger is big because it's got a powerful power supply to be able to charge the batteries faster.
