Great to see all these "little" things are seeping into RCX. Now, how about that ability to batch export with custom names based upon metadata like scene, take etc.? That would rock for creating dailies in RCX.

And this app costs what? $500? $1,500? No. It's free. With updates every other week. Awesome.

The tech support too. Mindblowing what those guys do for me on a daily basis, and I cant imagine im the only guy emailing in all the stuff i notice about the program... As a D.I.T. On RED shows (98% of what I do these days) I spend pretty much my whole day in Redcine... The software I use to download cost more than the tool i use to evaluate, playback, grade, log, sync, and export!

In this regard, the other camera mfg. could learn a thing or two about making their camera usable. Costs me insane $$$ to buy independent (read: buggy/unusable) software from boutique companies to deal with Alexa footage, say. Or even crazier amounts of money to buy "reliable" software. The prohibitive cost barrier to entry is one of the reasons I am less likely to want to take gigs with other systems.

Although i will say, if the F65 werent such an expensive paperweight at the moment ( from my hands on experience playing with the thing), i would be really happy with their very free and usable ipad app for controlling the camera. And in fact i was when the dinky wireless adapter decided to work ;D

... Theres a lot more i have to say on this really, but the post quickly turned into a Redcine feature request list... So i trimmed it here... ill just post it in the redcine workflow forum if im not too lazy...

    :D

This coupled with the Meiszler module or Pro I/O will stave off grey hair for me by at least 10 years. Killer efficiency---beats the pants off of PluralEyes, FCP X auto match, or manual timecode sync!

Doesn't your Production Mixer deal with the sound half of the project?

Would be great to follow this up with an on-camera tutorial on syncing camera with external Sound Recording devises through use of the Sync Port on the EPIC/Scarlet.

    ;)
