As you suggested, I tried disconnecting the internet and this computer has no wireless connection. My next attempt will be to try to install it on a x32 computer. Thanks for the input.

In my eagerness to upgrade to v3, I totally forgot to remove both my side handle and the RedMote. It seems to have survived without any issues though. I didn't even have to upgrade the RedMote. Was it upgraded during the v3 upgrade by being attached?

It wasn't my imagination or wishful thinking after all: the Bomb EVF blacks are definitely less milky now with RedGamma3 enabled in camera! THANK YOU RED TEAM!!!
I can also make the blacks in the EVF as rich as I want with a slight tweak to LOOK/FLUT/SHADOW. I find that with RedGamma3 and Shadow tweaked to around -0.2 makes the Bomb EVF look pretty nice, but is a little heavy on the blacks for the Touch LCD. It would be nice if factory default setting gave the same blacks for both the Bomb and Touch. On the other hand, the black pluge in the SMPTE Bars test signal looks correct when viewed on a properly setup external monitor, but it is entirely too light on both the Bomb and Touch even with the brightness turned all the way down. It's The Great Black Puzzle....

The REDMote upgrade is a separate upgrade procedure. The installer is included in the package you downloaded from the website. The previous version is compatible with 3.0.0, but we've rolled in a few bug-fixes into REDMote 2.0.9.

I've tried everything I know on 3 machines to install the Redmote firmware updater. It's either do without my redmote or revert back to build 2.0.8.

It still works with the new camera firmware? That's great! But I really hope someone can figure out why the redmote updater won't install, at least on my machines.

For now, you can create a key mapping preset, export it to SSD, and then reapply your mappings after upgrading the firmware.
Thanx for the heads up. I guess I need to do a little more reading...

I had the same issue. Just click the right mouse button and choose "run as administrator" and voila.

    Good Luck.

Yeah, been working with Trent Lillehaugen offline and he suggested that. Everything worked fine after that. Thanks Paulo.

You guys are scary fast, I'm testing out the test build Matthew sent and it's working great on 10.5.8. This new version is amazing!
