The 1030Ds is the newest version of the 1030 series and as such, is either just coming out of or is in a bit of backorder. Eric Johnston might chime in here with an update. But as such, you're probably not going to find anyone with a used one for sale. Do you mean the 1030HDs or 1030HD? Those are great units and would be available as used.

But if you're looking for the 1030Ds, then I can highly recommend it. I was just using it today and thought how nice the handle was to have on the legs to help move it around with the camera attached, one hand on the camera handle, one on the tripod handle. Handy.

Thanks for the clarification! Now it makes sense! I was being offered the 1030HDs at great prices thinking it was the 1030Ds Which is back ordered at Abel & B&H! Gona do more research and compare.

I never used either and feedbacks really helps. Thanks.

Recently placed my order through filmtools and just heard that O'connor is in backorder by about 100; they have 0 in stock. They said I should be prepared for about a 60 day wait:( This was for the 1030D with 30L sticks
