I'm cutting a piece in Premier Pro 5..5 using 4096x2160 R3D media shot on Epic (fw 2.0.8). The image shifts up vertically by several pixels every time there is a dissolve or speed change and image quality is degraded as well. Is this normal or have I missed something in my setup? This is my first experience with Premier, having come from FCP.

    Hi Paul,

Have you rendered the sequence? If some parts are rendered and others are not, you may find that the image jumps around. I've seen it as a black frame around rendered areas - and on other computers I've seen it as more of a letterbox...

What I'd do is try rendering a part of your sequence where you know it's bouncing and see what that looks like after the render.

Also, try exporting that same part of your sequence (with or without render - the result should be the same) - just to make sure you know what you final output will look like.

    Best of luck!
