Huge congrats Jarred and RED team! Funny to see Sony putting out a press release that they've sold 400 F65s when RED has sold thousands upon thousands of Epics. ;)

Presume the idea is that there is now enough Epic stock to cover all stages (3/3.5) and 4.

With nobody on 3/3.5 loosing out on 'their' camera going to a Stage4 buyer because their RED hasn't arrived for checking yet?

Just presuming - that's sort of how I read it... ie 'there are enough Epics for all' now.

Do you understand that from my perception as a customer - downpayment gone - no camera - my camera is indeed on backorder ?

Axel, the trade-in team for Stage 3 and 3.5 is a different stream from the new camera production team. We are notifying people to send in their RED ONEs for eval trade-in as quickly as that team can process them. And we are continuing to improve/streamline that process as we go along...

Meanwhile, our production team is cranking out cameras to a level where we can support open Stage 3/3.5 customers as well as at-once orders for Stage 4.

Sometimes we just cannot win. People (fairly based on our prior history) complain we are on backorder. And then when our production team gets some traction pumping out brains, you make a snarky comment.
