    Hi everyone,

I'm glad to share with you my last piece of work (co-directed with Ben Deka and Michael Manasseri)…

We recently finished the pilot of The Road to Hell, shot on Red-MX. Here is the teaser (basically the opening sequence)!

Thanks to our excellent Michigan crew:

    Cam op/Red owner: Patrick Elliot
    1st AC: Alex Grossfeld
    2nd AC:Jen Whalen
    DIT: Carl Ballou
    Gaffer: Chris Miller
    Key Grip: Josh Ficken
    DPs: the Deka Brothers (http://www.dekabrothers.com/Deka_Bro...d_to_Hell.html)

    enjoy!

Wow! It's always a treat when a reduser posts such beautiful looking footage up there with the Hollywood look!!! Fighting asking many Q's.

    Thank you!

Shot in 4K 2:1 (4096x2048), we added the 2:35 black bar in post which gave us a bit of room for reframing. This is also our finishing resolution as we rendered out of AE 4K DPX… I must say I'm really disappointed with the H264 compression (blockiness in the darks and light bending). Our DPX files look SO MUCH better.

As for the lenses, it was the Zeiss Super Speed and we shot wide open at 1.3 (ASA 800)…

    Thanks for your interest Stefan
