    So my red rocket just stopped working after very little use. Now Red wants 3k to fix it! What are they going to do for 3k?

    Has anybody else had this problem, feeling very frustrated with quality of the product at this point.

    did you try the dipswitch method and or rolling back firmware?

    yes tried all those sent it to red and just got a bill for 3k!

    This is probably a stupid question on my part...

    You mentioned that it had very little use - do they come with any sort of warranty period?

    1 year. Some people are asking for an Armour style extended warranty program since it's such an expensive item.

    I have used mine for 3 years solidly without an issue so it's not like they are inherent issues. Having said that I would be bummed if had to spend another $3k on it...

    There must be hundreds of Rockets out there and a small percentage have had rotten luck.

    $3k!!! Holy Crap, did they just sell you a new one or what? Scary stuff makes me never want to update it.

    Yesterday at the GENIUS BAR Apple wanted to charge me $175 to "replace" my old iPhone 3G with a reconditioned one.

    I bought the 3G on Craigslist last year for $65!

    As I've said before RED RULES!
