Canon 8-15 fish eye lens compatibility

yesterday I was trying all my canon lenses with my new scarlet X. My 8-15 fish eye lens was not recognised by the camera so I was not able to use it. I am currently using the default Firmware that came with my camera. Has compatabilty of this lens incorporated in the new V3 firmware ?
Every thing including my Redmote is working perfectly with the current setup, so I am kind of scared to upgrade the camera firmware as there where lot of posts in this forum on Redmote not working optimally.

This lens works fine on my Scarlet, even with the new firmware.

Does the lens vignette at 8mm? (Don't mean to thread jack, just curious)

Works great on Scarlet with firmware 3.0. Really fun lens. You have to zoom to about 9mm to get full coverage of 4kHD. But it's a fisheye, so you're supposed to have dark corners!

Slightly at 4k, less at 3K, None at 2K

Same With the distortion. Distorts fishy at 4K, a LITTLE fishy at 3K, and it's flat at 2K
