    Hi Alonzo,

Yes, I will be happy to make a mesh output for you. Might have to be next week. We have full animation and rigging now. The springs and all are fully functional.

On of my animators is working on the last of the rigging to give it character. It moves with a very nice and realistic expression now. We have it leaping and all. The body has a full cockpit with operators station and chair.

I am hoping to use the model in my unboxing video for my EPIC in a week or so.

I should have noted that the original model is actually created in Autodesk Inventor so it can be output for CNC machining.

I hope to make 3D modeling and RED Epic footage compositions for VFX soon. Have not had much time to do that with my RED One but have been looking to make more time for that.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hi Alonzo,

My animator has provided these mesh renders to give an idea of how we went about the model.

Oh Man!!! Your solution for the gears is smart !! And look at the complexity of that geometry! This is a really great job especially to do it in a manufacturable way. I'm also very impressed with the blending of surfaces at for the two bottom circles into the rim of the big one circle. I really dig that.

I lost a little steam on my rendition but this is inspirational and I'll try to pick it up again soon. I might try the spheres for the joint to leg connection because I'm not quite happy with what I have devised. I do want to rig it and animate mine as well but I haven't thought of having a driver inside. That is awesome idea however, I am limited by budget and time. Still I do want to do a cockpit like scene for something and this is as good as any. I should give it some thought.

I'm also looking at your site. Very impressive. I'm looking forward to further talking shop with you. Thanks for the grand pics. I'm will upload more when I get started again. My side-Handle for my battery will be here soon so now the rubber meets the road.

Hey guys, it's been a while I know. I was learning how to use and rig my Scarlet "Job's Joy". I'm loving the Scarlet. I want to share this. I have been learning tracking with Syntheyes. I like it alot. This is one test that I used my pilot steadicam. However it's proxy not final output. I hope you enjoy the RED spider bot.
