Bjorn - I think your analysis may be right for PL lenses but my experience so far suggests, at least to me, that the Scarlet with Canon lenses will work fine. I'll let you all know when I have both pieces in the same geographical location.

But the rods will be to far south, or no? Then a rod mounted matte box will not work and follow focus will be a bit off etc.

I just got the monitor/EVF holder....it's really solid and well built. Now trying to figure out how to mount a hot shoe in the right place. I know that x makes a hot shoe, but after buying the EVF holder, then a hot shoe and 3 easy plates and an easy right...I'm $450 in and should have just bought a proper RED EVF mount
