I just upgraded my WORKING red rocket card to the latest firmware to get Redcine pro v10 working as I have been using RCX 487 for ages without a problem.

My card is now dead. I have pulled the card out of my mac and placed it into a PC with the same problem. DEAD!!

Can anyone here help? I have just lodged a support ticket but i need to get up and running ASAP. And my card is 3 months out of warranty so i don't want to spend
    another $4800!

    Thanks in advance.

Seem to be having the same problem... Have put in a support ticket.

We've tried the dip switch #8 reset method with no luck so far and tested in multiple machines. Waiting to hear back for next step.

Same thing happening here. What's going on? Is there any possibility of this physically damaging the Rocket, or is this likely solved with a new software upgrade?

The problem for me is that the card isn't even showing up in either the device manager (WIN) or "about this mac" anymore regardless of what driver I install.

Yes, same here. I've gotten it to show up occasionally, and when it does, it seems that the slot is reporting it is no longer running at full speed.

    Anyone else having this issue?

Just ordered a Rocket. I plan to use it on a Mac running Snow leopard and with Redcine X Pro. Did this problem happened on the Mac side? What OS? This would help all potential buyers to avoid certain configurations or firmware!

Red policy about RR is ridiculous , a Real shame

if is out of warranty , and there is an hardware problem you have to buy it again , they don't fix .
    It's a shame .
It should have 3 years warranty (not 1 year ) , i heard of many RR that failed ...i have ATI and Nvidia card 7 years old that still running , many other several cards hat are working ...i and i Got 2 RR failing in 2 years ...

i wish the all RED community could protest to have the policy on the RR changed (more warranty or price replacement around 1K or so )

There seem to be a high failure rate with the Rocket. Warranty policy is not Red's strong suit

point is : they charge 5K because of what the RR does , not because the value is that much , so warranty should be 3 years and replacements should be around 1K (because is not supposed to break by itself )

i can't think of any piece of expansive equipment i have over 1K that if it break you have to buy again the all thing ...
