Guillaume, you are so right, if you want to bring you camera to LA, which I think is in Orange actually, by all means you should be able to. Why not do a casting and shoot a short while you are in LA? Actors can use some work or reel material. It also would be good for you and your camera. If I'm in town, I'll take you to a few enjoyable night spots. Hit me up.

I would like someone from RED to allows us to bring out camera's in person, saves us all money and less pollution. You know, make the world a better place? For the earth, shipping wise at least.

Same thing with the red epic. I was wondering If I could pickup directly my red epic to LA because I was planning of taking the course the 27th-29th february and I'm pretty sure the red epic would be ready at this time.

Third, if the red epic have to be shipped...Who's paying for the shipping&insurance? Me or red?

If I'm going to LA, it would be great to meet another filmmaker. I'll send you a pm if it's confirmed.

Nobody has respond to this question. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GO DIRECTLY TO RED TO EITHER GIVE BACK THE RED ONE OR TAKE THE RED EPIC? If no...why. I'm seeing post that people have been directly to red to take their red epic

    Regards,

    Guillaume

Got my email on 1/23/12. Brought #583 to Red Studios Hollywood on the same day (before 3:30p). It was in Irvine the next morning. I believe I originally received my camera on 3/18/08.

Now just waiting to hear about the evaluation.

To Guillaume and all others interested.

You CAN bring your camera into Red Studios Hollywood or the factor in Irvine, CA. For Stage 3. I spoke with a rep today to confirm this.

You give them the R1 body, PL mount and SSD/CF Card reader.

Sounds like it should be no trouble for your trip Guillaume. Dunno about the international process but RED is doing this because they feel customer loyality is important and I wouldn't foresee any problems down the road for you G. Our Epics are being built as we speak!
