More noise needs better filtering

Is it just me being a grumpy old man or is the white noise on the forum on the increase? Not that I've got anything against the scarlet users that have joined the Red Family but isn't the scarlet user forum the place for scarlet talk? I'm finding it harder and harder to use this forum for constructive purposes . I don't wanna rain on anyone's parade but this forum is going in a strange direction . Just saying !!

Between that and bumping sales threads, the noise factor can get pretty high.

As one grumpy old man to another, I have to agree. It would be helpful to have some way for the users who are experienced film makers to carry on a discussion at that level of craft without quite so much noise.

Im a young guy but I miss the way it was before. I miss the informational posts which have been replaced by a hundred threads asking the same questions over and over.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - Red user pro. $25 a year, the mods can get paid a few bucks, and it can actually be a professional forum not a discussion of photography 101.
