How are the SIDE HANDLE owners feeling about the camera size? I actually love how compact the camera is without it, and it looks bulky in all the pictures here.

I haven't received mine, of course, so maybe it's self-justification...

I totally have been enjoying running around without it, but I really think it's going to add a lot of functionality to my setup and shooting style once it arrives.

It will add a bit of bulk, but the additional grip and controls are totally worth it to me. Not to mention the added functionality of hot swapping.

Alternatively can you use this cheese plate and attach a grip without function: http://www.viewfactor.net/index.php/...lth-plate.html

However, i ordered the Side Handle without Redvolts because he makes possible to control the camera if i hold her with both hands.

Another great thing about the side handle is that you don't have to rely on the touch screen to control the camera. I've seen some people use the touch screen and they are having trouble with it.

I don't remember if the touch screen is capacitive touch, but that could cause a problem for some.

With hard keys, you're more confident that you dialed in the right settings.

I haven't had any problems in very cold weather other than freezing my hands. I keep a little stylus with me in my bag for that reason alone.

The huge impact I think the handle will make is on my shoulder setup. Much easier access to controls and start/stop. I've gotten used to blindly using my thumb on the right back side while the camera is next to my noggin, but the DSMC Side Handle will allow me to actually grab something. Can't wait.
