Anthony - I'm going to have to buy a new tripod to handle the extra weight of the Scarlet/etc.

What would you buy today for a 'reasonably priced' (whatever that means?) head that could be used for dollying and other purposes?

And is that dolly always going on a flat surface like a table - or can they be used on a tripod (or some kind of super tripod able to support it)?

I ordered my Scarlet Dec 30th, but have very little knowledge about equipment, so I'm trying to come up with a game plan for some movement in my videos!

    Thanks!!!

    Simon,
This is the Canon Al mount with this lens attached
It is not a super clean piece of glass, but allows us to get super zoom shots that we use for some of our films. We shoot PL glass and Canon glass usually. The reason this is on the camera is we are testing it on the Scarlet. It covers(we built it for the 7D), just checking sharpness, aberration issues, etc. Again, this is one of our specialty lenses. If you need this type of shot affordably and portably this is a decent solution. It weighs about 4 lbs.

My camera is scheduled to arrive next week but the side handle is still on back order and i am looking to power up my camera. I like the rigs posted but would like to have my camera up and running. I see the different powering options people are using and would like to know if anyone has tried or used the Anton QRC-epic. Any info would be greatly appreciated before I order something.
