    DAMN!
On page 14 of the manual it says"the Red Scarlet-X camera can simultaneously support one viewfinder output plus one HD-SDI program output and one HDMI preview output" This is why i did not buy a Red monitor, because i have a SmallHD monitor and a Atomos Samurai.
I've ordered the Redmote for menu control instead.

Now people owning a Scarlet are telling me that this is NOT the case, and that there is no simultaneous output of HDMI and SDI output possible!

So this seems to be an error in the documentation, that has just costed me 1600 dollar!!! And renders the Redmote pretty obsolete for me.
There is a rumor that this might be enabled in the near future... Can anyone comment on this?

I understand your frustration and there should be an official revision of the manual, or clarification on the specs sheet, but I haven't seen one yet.

The solution is the upcoming Red Pro I/O module but it certainly adds additional size and cost to the Base Scarlet kit.
You may also use an HDMI splitter or HD-SDI converter depending on which one you want to use, and if the SmallHD has a passthru...

I don't get how this makes the Redmote useless however...

ND. The official manual is available from the Support section on the Red.com website. Problem with a splitter is, that i don't want to record the on-screen data, just look at it ;-)

I'm wondering the same thing Martin. These small HD monitors have been the best purchases I've made (besides the Scarlet) this last year. I saw the simultaneous signal output as well and was very excited. Not sure what I'm going to do now; I have too many clients that require DTE and the Samurai looks like the best option, but I really want to use these SHD monitors. I've been researching, trying to find someone who has posted workflow results withe the Scarlet and Samurai, but haven't seen any posted. Anyone out there to confirm this?

you will regret you didnt get the TS Red LCD.
Best way to judge the image on set through the histogram etc. and best tool to navigate effectively through the menus.
i would instead sell the redmote.
red is not a color, it's a camera.
