    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Scarlet or a RED One MX, if possible without a mount or with a Nikon mount.

Would love to buy it in a set with a REDmote and some 64GB SSDs.

PM me if you have one available.

    Regards
    David

EDIT: A long form project came up, so I reactivated this old thread.

Don't you need a lens mount on the brain in order to attach the Optitek Nikon Mount to the camera?

Also, don't forget that if you buy a Scarlet like this, you will be receiving no warranty. That's a pretty expensive camera to not have a warranty on in case something goes wrong. Just some helpful advice. :-)

Brian, that's not how the Optitek mount works at all. It's self-contained ; so in this case, it would replace the canon mount

Good point... didn't thought about it. Warranty really stops when selling it? What about REDs bought over RED Europe? I know that at least in Germany you have to give 2 years warranty... no idea how the law is in GB.

You can totally keep the warranty as far as I know, you just have to file with RED the "official transfer fee" or whatever it's called. Then you maintain th warranty, I believe.

Does anyone know how high this transfer fee is for a Scarlet?

The transfer for an Epic is 750 USD and the 1 year warranty does not transfer. The new registered owner has either a 60 or 90 day warranty. I believe you may be able to purchase RED Armor for your product after transfer inside the new warranty period but am not positive on those details as the details apply to Epic X and M. Scarlet may be a bit different.
