    Actual way this went down:
"Hey, Phil. Ya know the thing? Yeah? Well, what would you say if I told you it's ready?"
"So, a, where's this going down?"
"You gotta come over here, but don't tell no one."
    "I'll be right over"
    "Yeah?"
    ...

Must be nice to zip on over to Red.

    Congrats Phil!

Great name! Just curious, do they come with names on them? Or do you guys give them names prior to them shipping? I'm lost.

Hey Jeff, they don't come with names. It's been a long standing tradition that RED owners give their camera names. Not everyone does it, but it's fun. I'm still trying to name mine.

If you ever happen to come to Texas, "Johansson" would love to shoot with "Skully"
I'll be in Austin for a heartbeat between January 7th-14th! I don't know how much free time I have. I come to Austin several times a year though. So we can "bump cameras" next year for sure.

I'm based in Los Angeles and was at the event. But I have to tell you with traffic it was about a 7 hour trip. Eep.

Thanks Jeffrey. They don't come with names on them, but it is somewhat of an industry tradition to name your cameras. All they ship with is a number. I'll get my rig engraved though. Skully comes from my business logo, which is a skull; as well as an homage to Scully from X-Files. Red Scarlet X. It kinda made sense to me :)

Phil what time were you there? Did I pass you in the lobby?

For some reason I want to call mine Gojira...
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...
