I have been loving the new windows version of Davinci the last few days until I hit a snag.

I've got my footage into Davinci from premiere via xml and it all came over perfect but now that I am done with the grade I export the xml from davinci, open it up in premiere and the grade is gone. everything else is as it should but the grade is gone.

Sorry in advance if I am missing something but I cant get it to work.

    Is it me or what?

Did you render out the graded files? It sounds like you were expecting the Resolve grades to be magically contained in the XML! Choose "FCP XML Round-trip". Since there's no ProRes on Resolve for Windows, you would probably have to do with Uncompressed. (that's for the best, anyway, but many prefer smaller files) The other alternative is going for "Avid AAF Round-trip", which gets you access to DNxHD, but I am not sure how that will work with Premiere Pro. A while back, I remember having problems with MXF DNxHD in Premiere Pro, but I haven't tried it for ages. Seems to work OK with Vegas Pro though.

I'm no expert, but I believe you have to render your timeline out of Resolve. It doesn't work like dynamic link or changing the R3D metadata in RCX. The lite version of Resolve limits you to 1080 renders, so if you are looking to finish at 2K or 4K, you'll have to buy the full version.

Wow. Got to comfy with Dynamic link. Rendered to FCP XML Roundtrip. Works perfect.

    Thanks
