P.S. Let's try and keep it Atomos Samurai focus. I've emailed them a link to get them involved in the conversation so that the end users can hopefully benefit :-)

I believe you are correct here - 30P max

    Maximum is indeed 1080p30.

Thanks Adam and Josh. I was hoping to be able to utilize some of the higher frame rates with the quick out to 1080p. Still will be nice for those clients that only want to shoot 24 and 30 EFP / ENG and need quick turnaround. Another tool for the arsenal.

That's the fucked up thing about high frame rates @ high rez - it takes an Epic to do it.

Well the high speed recording is easily solved...soon...with playback enabled on Epic/Scarlet. Playback your 300fps at 1080p from camera and just hit record on the ATOMOS. A bit of a workaround but if your going this route instead of waiting for RED to one year release a 'proxies' module whether H264 or Prores it certainly solves this question. Now...to just get playback which I read will be out in BETA well before end of November.

That just might work in a pinch, Brigham - great idea. Thanks.
