Perfect timing - my Epic Canon EF mount has just arrived! Off to Nagano tomorrow to have some fun with it.... :)

Now you have a choice between PL cinema lenses, or cheaper but still high quality EF mount lenses.

Attached is my super wide Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 zoom lens. Looks fantastic! 24mm f/1.4L II and 50mm f/1.2L lenses also available, plus of course all others can be rented. Or BYO! :)

    Cheers from Tokyo,

    Paul :)

Out of interest Paul, where'd you get that little focus hook?

At one of the dollar stores here in Tokyo (100 yen shops, which are ubiquitous here and carry all manner of useful little items)!

It's just a picture frame hook with sticky backing. Comes off easily enough when finished with.

    Cheers!

    Paul :)

Took a self portrait tonight using the Canon EF50mm f/1.2L USM lens wide open, 1/50th second shutter at ISO 12,800 (that bright light you see behind me is a single 40W tungsten bulb):

The grain character of the Epic at this ISO level is amazingly good!! No fixed pattern noise at all!

What a perfect combination of lens and camera....

    Cheers from Tokyo,

    Paul :)
