Does anyone know if there has been word of the Proxy support for EPIC files? I've searched the forum, and several other outlets to no resolve? Will this be coming with the proxy module? Or an update in firmware?

Check out the Sound Devices Pix 240 - it will give you ProRes or DNxHD files

This device is very cool but with regards to a proxy workflow, doesn't really help. I was just curious if RED was going to implementing the Proxy file into the Red Mags? Or will this be phased out over time?

No there hasn't, but I wouldn't be surprised if they abandoned proxies altogether.

    Hi Scott,

The Quicktime files the PIX produces contain identical timecode and file name structure as the respective RAW files on your camera; it's exactly what you want for a proxy workflow.
