If you have installed the EVGA drivers can create many problems with Lion, do not install any Nvidia driver with Lion.
I hope you understand, given my bad English.
not sure if it is installed as this is a clone from my previous system restored to this one. Where can I delete these Nvidia Drivers?

I was getting similar fps to you - 9fps at 1/4 res debayer. So, it would seem to me that Resolve isn't using your RR card.
    Hi David,
Right now im just using FW800 to test.

I feel like it is not using the Rocket as performance isnt real time at full res which it should be.

Would it boost performance at all if I went with a Quadro 4000 in slot 2 and removed the gt120?

Strange things happening with this mac's . I had big problem with my early 2008 2x quadro 4000 system. Now thanks to Luigi I have rock solid hackintosh, everything works and dvinci is very fast.

Think that if you have no problem with qt files with some correction like 4-6 nodes then it is not gpu performance

When I was in your situation I just installed fresh Osx on second drive and when problem was still there I knew that it was hardware

To Matt, about the 4000 card. No.

Matt, again, you are not going to get real time with Red Full Resolution Premium settings, if the Red Rocket is in the Mac, on a Resolve system.

Hi, stop the bus...unless I misread the reports, there seems to be a more fundamental issue.
It looks to me like just the GT120 is being used if all you can get is 3fps.
Take out the rocket and GTX285. If you still get 3fps that suggests Resolve can not see the GTX GPU.
Solve that issue first. Then r3d speed without the rocket, in 1/4 res good should be close to real time.
Then put the rocket back in, as jake said, the rocket will always decode at premium debayer.
Set it at 1/2 res and your timeline to HD and you should get 8 nodes in real time.
The config guide on the BMD web site lists what configs need to be and there are lots of systems that work this way.

NO. BM said the GPU of resolve is not affected by the GUI.

    Matt,
If you're unsure try reinstalling Lion.
Otherwise, as already mentioned by Engineer Dwaine, your speed in real time will be only half resolution. The problem of 3 slot at 4x cause this.
Redrocket work at 8x slot and full speed.

    Luigi

I think it's time to upgrade to Windows platform at begin 2012 , to save money problems and have a lot more performance.
    It's only my opinion.
