I bought this S16 zoom last year for 7 grand from ACI rental house in nashville. I seriously doubt it saw real use. Michael there had it last seviced by Duclos. Ive never come across a more cherry used zoom.
Glass is excellent. I hate cleaning expensive glass so the pics i email yall are like once over with the badger hair to remove specs. Having said that, there is a wee lens fluid mark or something on the rear element. You can only see it if you stare at it for ten minutes while constantly rotating best light.
Id clean it but my old hassys ate all my expendables yesterday.
If it didnt disappear, i wouldnt lose a wink of sleep bc its almost undectable. I could have definitely omitted describing it. Haha but im no used cine jerk!
Other than that the lens is unbelievable. Not even that heavy or long.
For you resolution hounds, this lens is crazy sharp!
For you closeup lovers, a longer, better used S16 telephoto lens probably doesnt exist.
Great color and contrast on this, even at T2.3.
