I think it changed or at least was put into another context, changing the titles combined.

I guess my underlying point was that we might be better off dropping the "professional" reference from it, after all.

From the outside.. they pretty much look the same. Even very similar on the inside.

Some people are happy racing the normal 911 down the track.. it does everything they every could dream of.

But then there are some people that absolutely 100% need the Turbo, they need the extra speed. they need the extra torque. They just simply could not do what they need to do with the normal 911.

The 911 Turbo guys don't feel ripped off by the normal 911. The normal 911 usually inspire to move up to a turbo some day. It's a healthy co-existence.
Whats the GT2RS? The 617? Does that make the 645 the GT3?

Sorry, being a smartass right about now.
Maybe the video game is good.

This is a great analogy Jarred and hopefully shuts up all these posers stating Scarlet isn't enough. I'm perfectly happy with my standard 911 and will no doubt get another turbo down the line.

This, pretty much, should end this discussion. But, ofcourse, it won't. And that's ok. All I know is that I just need to get this "normal" camera in my hands so I can start to work really hard and bump up my abilities to use even a fraction of what it can do.

I remember this thread as one of the greatest. It was about dreams. For some the scarlet announcement was let done, for others it was everything they want to hear. A year later I am grateful for this post. Scarlet was everything I hoped for an more. Thanks Jim!

It's really so simple. Do you need full frame and usable slomo or not. That's it.
