Good on ya Joseph. You deserve it all. I saw how much you helped the kids at Red Camp and how much they looked up to you.
Enjoy.
josephs video really shows the epic gate flare
(the flare that looks a little like anamorphics on frame left)
Definitely jealous Joseph! I can't even afford a 5D! Lol.
So this means you have special rental rates for Scarleteers right? ;)
Last night I shot for 5 hours (until both bricks died), around Hollywood Boulevard with fellow Reduser, Mike Hedge. We were shooting some stuff on a 70-300mm and IS on. The stuff seriously looks like it was a tripod mounted shot! We got tons of great stuff. Corvette, Helicopter, El Capitan/Chinese/Kodak Theater exterior shots, tons of people, police car, fire engine, Ambulances, etc. :) I can't wait to cut it and share with the community.
Thanks to Mike, I'll be shooting on a whole arsenal of different Canon lenses this week. He's definitely a great guy to work with...and I'd say that whether I was using his lenses or not. :)
Needless to say, I'll be most busy this week preparing stuff to share with you all.
I remember meeting you at Red Day 2010, full of energy, passion, and ambition. You've made leaps and bounds in your journey, and a well deserved Epic-M. If you find yourself in the DC area again, you'll always have a place to stay.
Looking forward to seeing great things coming from you and your new M. A big congrats Joseph!
Is there a person you didn't meet at Red Day 2010? I too remember meeting you. Congrats on the M. There's no doubt she's in good hands. I look forward to seeing what you make with it.
Congrats, Joseph. Your story reminds me a lot about myself when I was working hard to get my R1 4 years ago. It's amazing how people want to help someone who has so much passion. They really believe in you, so congratulations and kick ass on shooting EPIC footage!
