Does anyone really think that constantly bugging the staff at RED about order status works? They have squarely addressed the backorder situation in several posts that let us know exactly what is going on. Clearly they are working as hard as possible and will ship product out as soon as possible. They have a world class manufacturing group led by Jarred who are killing themselves for us. Remember, Jim ran Oakley - like only the biggest manufacturer of sports gear on the planet! I think they know a thing or two about getting things made. Certainly more than us!! Let's all back off and let them breath!!! Constant posts are not helping!!

Josh is right and Denizhan is right, I hate myself for being upset at some of the delivery times, but rather it take longer and it be right.
You never know if something is further delayed unless you ask.. It's not meant to speed up the process, it's just meant to help us all with projects on the horizon to plan accordingly.. For example: I would have never known the quad charger is going to be delayed another 2 weeks if a REDuser didn't ask Jarred.. I'm sure RED is doing everything they can, but a little push here and there for information goes a long way sometimes..
I figure it's fair to bug my BS rep every other week about this. You could just be patient and wait till something shows up on your door but more than once I've checked in with my rep on something backordered to have him say.... yeah... actually we can ship that out this week. Never hurts to be a squeaky wheel... just not TOO squeaky.
Whenever I get frustrated about missing parts I remind myself that a few months ago I didn't even have an Epic and now I can at least go out and do work with it and then I'm all smiles.
Fair enough but reading this from their perspective with what they do for us, upgrades, new products requested by us, we sound like whiny bitches sometimes. And yes, sometimes something comes in and they don't tell us right away, because they have thosands of people calling and emailing them everyday. They will grow even larger and things will go smoother but c'mon stop crying all the time you have to sickest camera on the planet, you should be shooting with it, not complaining on the web.
