Using CPU debayering which one is faster? I am trying to find a non-rocket CPU debayering workflow that will give me the fastest transcode times and utilize all 12 cores on a Mac Pro. Perhaps I should use Premiere Pro CS5.5 to transcode due to the multicore optimization. Problem is how do I select a bin and transcode all the files in Premiere Pro? I'm hoping REDCine-X or Storm will be multicore optimized in the future.

Select Bin contents and drag them to AME, choose output and hit start..

Dragging the RED files inside the bin from Premiere Pro CS5.5 into AME is not working. Dragging a sequence works but not the bin files.

That sure is simple....but what about render speeds? is it AS FAST as RCX or Storm? I thought that Storm had an accelerated render rate of sorts????

And....being unfamiliar with Premier---you can drop R3d's...and work with them and color them IN premier and access/change medtadata--out via a 10bit monitor like with FCP & say Matrox box--to get 10bit monitoring...but i know that is only with transcoded prores files---but how are you/can you monitor out of Premier in 10bit the raw file? you need an I/O card then?

    thanks...

.....i'd like to know this as well....since i want to ONLY transcode a reel and individual files and OUTPUT them as individual clips not as a sequences....just like you can from FCP when you batch export and choose use in/out of each clip....

I'm not sure if Storm is accelerated for the render outs. Perhaps the acceleration is just for the realtime preview. If anyone can chime in on the render speed of Storm vs REDCine-X that would be great.
