NIce!!
Too bad it went form "In stock" to Backordered as I was paying he he.
Wow..... Rock'n system!
Ketch its your fault that now I'll have to wait! :-)
Jarred, I've been watching this whole DSMC rig grow over the last year or so since you started to reveal it. So many of the configurations seem to be stripped down, lightweight, no permanent 19" rods with FF/MB etc. The new bottom plate is a cool start to being able to move the camera from handheld to stick to steadicam. But if I want to use 19mm rod accessories I've still got to move all the components from the Clutch to a similarly configured rig on sticks. That seems very inefficient, and so I am starting to wonder if I am just not seeing things the way you guys at Red are yet. Clearly, you're vision is for a lightweight rig, quickly moved from Clutch-sticks-etc. Do you have something up your sleeves that precludes the use of traditional lens/light controls? In Red's eyes are the days of big 19mm rigs numbered? Or are you moving your accessories line to more closely match the majority of Epic owners (in the next year or so) that use Canon glass and focus by wire, with clip on matteboxes?
Just trying to read the writing on the wall.
Jarred,
if I wish to use the HOT SWAP Bebob Rouge Battery Plate, can we buy just the Bottom of the battery plate so I can attached it to it?
Very nice! I am curious how the balance will be on that. It looks like it will be front heavy. Does it balance well with mattebox on there?
The Backpack system is one of the most perfectly simplistic and vastly useable cine tools since the cheeseplate-- which the BackPack utilizes too.
