I've always liked Nikon cameras and glass. My Arri IIC had a Nikon Hard Front. I also always loved large format 8x10 with Rodenstock Optics and sheet film. Hard to beat those images. And panavision has always served me very well - a great camera system. But now I really like my Red. To be able to own a camera of this quality and shoot anytime and process the images right away - wow!

I could only afford to buy my Red because I never spent any money on a car. Still haven't bought a car....

    Heh....

My list is gonna be a little different:

    Konica T4
    Nikon F3
    Leica CL
    Arca Swiss F Line 4x5
    Contax G2
    Arca Swiss F Metric 6x9
    Arca Swiss M Line 2
    Phase One 645 D
    Phase One 645 DF
    Nikon D3
    Canon 5d2
    Arca Swiss Rm3d
    Red One MX

And I have a feeling that a Red camera is always going to be at the end of that list :)

    Numerous cheap super 8's
    Bolex RX1*
Canon L1* (the camera that started it all for me)
MovieCam Super America (intern on Tom Arnold & Rosanne Barr Movie-- so green that I was stupid enough to suggest that shooting it with my Canon L1 would make better sense)
    Arri S
    Arri BL 16
    Eclair
    Sony Betacams
    Bolex RX 5*
Fisher-Price PXL-2000 PixelVision (Filmed a funnel cloud and some wicked lightning over an Iowa Cornfield with this camera)
    Arri SR1
Canon Super8* Dropped out of a Cesna from 13,000'. Still wirring away when we dug it out of the mud two hours later. Might still work but sits proudly, dried mud and all, on my mantle.
    Beaulieu R16*
Arri S with Norris Intervelometer (a summer spent touring ghost towns of Colorado)
Arriflex M* (With Norris Intervelometer. My first true time-lapse rig)
Arriflex 2C* (the camera started my time-lapse career-- thank you Wayne Goldwyn a.k.a Mr. Time-Lapse!
Arriflex 2C #2* (#1 blew over in a wind in Monument Valley. Sits on my mantle with bits of red rock embedded in its skin.)
Debrie* (Handcranked 35mm made of wood)
    Arri SR2
    Arri SR3
    Arri BL3
    Arri BL4
