Hey guys,
Any tips for me here.. RCX 470 works well on my laptop,
but on my 12 core. through the RED ROCKET I cannot view the 300fps stuff. ?
Obviously a RED ROCKET update issue...
Any new rocket firmware I should be aware of for the 2k 300fps. ?
thanks anyone.
i think there was a rocket firmware update yesterday or day before---checking....

i just reloaded it all again.. maybe terminal did not do it thing...
fingers crossed
I've not noticed those problems but:
Once a "split screen effect"
3 power peak shut down yesterday with this build (more or less like the previous build).
I miss the matrix focus control. I shoot every thing handheld doing myself the focus. This focus mode is essential... strange how fast we get used to be spoiled ;-)
I would love to have an option to flip the monitoring upside down so I can fix the touchscreen LCD the way around...
I can't imagine the day I'll have to shoot with another camera...! Heartbreaking. :-)

I had my LCD go totally red hue....and split screen and some strange other effects. So it's back to RED for evaluation. tested other cables and my older RED ONE monitor---all worked flawlessly. I think something was coming out of contact on the touchscreen LCD---pressure on back of it would compound OR alleviate the problem. Anyway, now with a new touchscreen LCD and no issues at all.... New build seems to be quite a bit stabler. Only thing that seems a bit "touchy" is the touchscreen itself--this may be that each LCD has it's own issues or feel. BUt i have to touch 2-3 times to get functions to open up etc....I get frustrated in some places and then resort to the REDMOTE which works great. But would be nice if the touchscreen was a bit more sensitive like on the iphone or android.
I have had split screen issues as well. None if it actually was in the recording.Once a "split screen effect"
The edges of a touch screen are usually less sensitive than the rest. This is where many people place menus too. Apple spends a great deal of money for the quality of touch panels they use in the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad to get uniform performance. I have been using a capacitive stylus and feel I get better results on the menus across the top vs. my finger. Don't see much improvement on some of the menus where you have to scroll.BUt i have to touch 2-3 times to get functions to open up etc
The focus control was never very accurate for me. I tried the circle, matrix, and center square. (I don't recall the actual names off hand)I miss the matrix focus control.
On the subject of focus, I used to always use the focus view on the RED ONE where the image went B&W and edges, in focus, where highlighted in RED. When they switched to blue, it never really worked for me. Its back to RED, on EPIC, but still not working well for me. It seems like the edges need to be either brighter, thicker, or both.
Mark,
If on MAC make sure you use the built in OSX "Archive Utility" (right click -> open with) on the zip archive.
apparently the terminal file(s) doesn't like to be unzipped with anything but that.
