Strange limiting on Storm

I've just downloaded the trial and have been playing around with Storm. I was trying to work with some RED footage using REDLogFilm gamma space and found that I can't lower the black levels below a certain point as if there were a threshold or limiter/clamp in there. This was using 8 bit. When I try to use the Half Float setting, I've found that the Lift/Gamma/Gain controls have no effect....

What gives?

i wasn't aware we could manipulate black/white levels in storm. I must be missing an entire tool set then.....going to mark this to watch to see what the big fellas at storm have to say.

This is a known issue and one that our engineers are working hard to rectify. It has been logged as #17853.

Hi Johnny,

If you click Storm > Preferences (apple ,), it will open the preferences dialog box and you can change the black and white points by clicking Scopes. You will have to restart Storm for the changes to take effect.

that's excellent news. ANY CHANCE of seeing some KEYFRAMING of RAW data in Storm....like key-framing of ISO? Just no good option to keyframe in apple in raw.

They are separate issues but related. One is a bug that we are working on and the other is to do with altering some settings internally. We'll keep you updated with the progress.
