I noticed there is no information regarding the IO module and in camera playback is not yet enabled. I assume the IO module is not that interesting as sdi and hdmi outs are located on the brain which is really cool.

This is a "where we are at right now" draft... the guide will grow as features and accessories are brought up.. just like it was with the RED ONE guide.

I love the false color feature to check exposure & the default user keys for 1:1 & false colors mode. The red color overlay for focus check is pure genious !

Can you already pinch and magnify, pinch and shrink the image on the 5" with the current build?

The 1-3 soft keys on the RedMote for ISO, shutter, and WB in conjunction with the big scroll wheel sounds like a dream.

I noticed that the HD-SDI out port only supports 1920x1080. While the HDMI port supports both 720 and 1080.

Is this correct, an error, or just where you are at this point?

Long ago Stuart told me that SDI would support both resolutions as well.

This is certainly great to have!

But I have to say, seeing Ted in a NAB video demo, the menu system looks very easy to navigate, and even if you never used an EPIC before you would be up to speed very quickly.

EDIT: When I read it was a draft I thought it would be very basic, but I just started going through this and it's much more in-depth than I at first thought. Great job.
