I think that the Epic-S will be the perfect transition camera for me. I've done work with the RED, I own a 7D, and I don't want to shoot a smaller sensor unless I have too. RED footagate is by far the best footage I've seen, shot, edited. I absolutely love it. Epic-S is my goal to cross-over for good... I think a lot of people are in the same boat.

There should definitely be an Epic-S forum.

yeah, I'd love to get an Epic-S been wanting it for years. It'll be the cheapest camera with a full sensor and functionality.

what is the estimate for the brain again? $12,000?

    any info would be awesome.

My plan is to get a Scarlet Fixed and work with it for a while until I can afford to upgrade my brain to Epic-S. Pun intended. :-)

I'm doing that now with an AF-100. Why wait? The way I see it, it'll probably be another year at the earliest that we'll see the Epic-S come to light, heck it'll be another 6 months or so till you can get a Scarlet. Get an AF-100, start getting your lenses and accessories in order and then you'll be ready when the Epic-S comes out. By then you should have more then enough to get one! That's my plan and so far it's working out well! The AF-100 is a great interim solution.

I'm down for Epic-S info, but like Steve said there's nothing really to report. I mean at least its in the same category as Epic M/X. There has been no news for awhile about the Scarlet Cinema. There was a little panic that Red was going to not release it but I'm pretty sure that was debunked, but either way there has been no news on that.

Of course I can't even afford a 5D right now so for me all of this is it'll happen when it happens. Right now I'm just working on getting accessories to make my little T2i a cinematic machine before I switch to a much smarter "brain."

I was told by a Red official at NAB that it is "very likely" the Epic-S will have 120fps at 2K, which has me excited
