Liam, you wouldn't BELIEVE, the insanity of the people who get loans from Ukrainian banks. The banks themselves, on the other hand use this insanity quite successfully.

It is not interesting. Bank don't give money for camera Bank just give money for anything you want according to you security (sum of deposit). It is not a problem the problem is that 30 000 is not enough for RED ONE (even used) and there is no any alternative for cinema projects. So I will be waiting for Epic-S but I start waiting when I was 30 And will get camers when will be 34 I think (if i will get it in 2012 not in 2013 or 2014)! I understand it is way on mine field but may be need to fine some way out!

here's an easy way out! RENT A RED ONE!!!

For example 30 shooting days for a project - Rent - is 500 USD per day - 15000 for rent a camera - plus unexeptable cases (and reshooting) it is a big risk to spend All money and you wil need to shoot a lot of episods else 15000 for a project - it is 50% of Epic-S - And I can shoot every day free for 1,2,5 projects for 30,40,100 days! I can't spend 15000 for every projects with risk money is finisned and film is not a ready! I can be witout film and without money! Even if I can shoot for 15000 the whole project I neeed do spend another 15000 for the second and another 15000 for the next! I can only win time for 15000 may be 1 year but then I will not have 15000 for buying Epic-S in a year! I am not a major studio, I can't spend 15 000 for every projects - there is only one way - have a camera and shooting a lot of days without limits shooting and shooting until get what your need!
Rent is possible way out but I need to find some crazy with RED ONE on conditions that here is for example 5000 and we will shoot in cooperations until get what we want! I am looking for such crazy now But it is hard searching - it is need to have a friend with RED ONE:)!

I understand why you want to shoot your projects on RED - for obvious reasons. But if you really need to do these projects so quickly and you can't wait to get them done, just rent a cheaper camera, which will still allow you to shoot what you want properly. RED don't make the only cameras in the world, and shooting your project on a RED One / Epic won't magically make it any better or bring in more money for you.

I for one WELCOME this new mantra simply for fiscal planning.

How would acting more like Apple help anyone with planning anything? I don't get it.

I guess I don't get why people complain on here either when they know it pisses Jim off. Maybe expectations have weight like if Red was publicly traded. For example, Apple can do really great as a company for a certain period, but if they don't meet the analyst's exact expectations, the stock goes down.
