Doubling the frame rate is 1 stop light loss... unless you open the shutter. If you stay at a 180 degree shutter then 48fps is 1 stop, 96fps is 2 stops, etc. Same as any camera...

Thanks for the quadHD numbers! This is going to be so great. Gone are the days of trying to explain to the director why we need to change the lens or the camera distance for an overcrank shot. Much less ending up at 58fps when people are asking for 60 just 'cause you don't want to drop the res that low.

What compression rate is this? media?

    p.s. good luck at NAB

How does that 720p 360fps work? Is that a sensor cropped further than is for 2K?
November 3rd is likely to be the most watched day in Reduser history. It will be well worth it.

So if I rip off the air cooling heatsink (heatpipe as well?), and put a waterblook on, is there the ability to overclock these cameras and increase the bandwidth/processing to push the already amazing rates?

    Can you overclock an Epic?

Or as Mike Seymour said in fxguidetv #106: "The Epic is probably the best camera that has ever been made."
