We are in the process of moving EPIC production from Stage 6 at RED Studios Hollywood to the permanent location in Irvine. There will be a bit of downtime during the move.

We have heard some competitors say that we have only shipped a few EPICs out to "my friends". While it is true that some early RED ONE customers, which also happen to have become my friends, have received EPIC-Ms... but the total number of EPIC-Ms out now is in excess of 250. I think that is half the population of Alexa's. The number shipped EPICs should surpass 500 before NAB.

Wow! Great news. I can't wait for people to eat their hats when they see Epics taking over the industry in the following months.

I had a dream last night that my epic came in the mail and I played with it all day. According to my dream, Epic is very light and takes amazing video. It also has tons of cool features, including hdrx.

250 already out in the wild!!!!!!!

So very cool. Not only the number out, the number expected but that they are being produced, and therefore jobs created, here in the US/California.

Hats off to you and the team for making this piece of mechanical, optical and electronic magic, and being able to jump thru the hoops to do it in California as well!

P.S., is there a website to submit applications for those jobs? :)

    Thats a knockout punch....Cheers..

500 will be 'M' versions only or it will include 'X' versions of EPIC also.

Rather than video, how about digital emulsion?

Congrats! One step closer! I can't wait!

BTW- does this effect the delivery time of the Epic-X Stage 2 in any way? I'm waiting with baited breath to get my email that my Epic-X is ready ...
