Epic Footage + Avid MC5 Support??

I'm able to open RedOne files with 4k format.
But I downloaded EPIC 5K R3D files from below link and tried to open in Avid Media Composer 5.

Error:
RED R3D Plug-In (R3DSDK v3.1) Vendor Name = Avid Technology, Inc. Version = 1.1 does not support.

Question:

• Does Avid AMA support Red EPIC 5k footage files yet?
• Any one able to open Red EPIC 5k files in Avid Media Composer?

Encode your EPIC footage with RCX416ER to MXF and you are safe for the moment...
