Does anyone else have the same export problems as I do?

For a normal prores file it takes twice as long to export as in Redcine-X...

Hi Sebastian, we've done some timing tests here and we found the results to be comparable between the two apps after some initial problems in the earlier beta builds. What resolutions, settings and codec(s) are you using? Also which build of Storm and Redcine-X do you have?

    thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Dan,

I've done some more tests this morning and with these settings:

    RED material: 4096 x 2304
    25 fps
    Length: 20s 18frames

    Exported to: Apple Prores 422
    25fps
    1920x1080 HD
    Auto decoding

It only took 7 seconds longer than in REDCINE-X... So a very big improvement since last builds.

Now I'm working in Storm build 1.0v1b10 and Redcine-X 356...

Even though it's not a big difference from before, 7 seconds multiplied to larger numbers of clips, will be alot eventually...

I really enjoy Storm and want this exporting to work even more smoothly so I can start using it in production later on!

    Thanks for all the help!

    /Sebastian
