any chance you are gonna get to test s5's, and the cooke cxx 15-40?
the leicas should be fine we had them at camtec a few weeks ago and the diameter of the rear element is quite large...think master prime..
once i get a confirmation about the optimo i will modify the chart.
and we are pretty sure that the s4's and s5's have the same size rear element diameter, unfortunately.
looking at the specs on the cooke website, looks like only the panchros claim to cover the full 5k all the way through. everything else in their line, cxx, s5, s4 is all 30 mm. meaning if it vignettes at 14 mm. 18 mm and up will def cover it. Fine for any production really.
really surprised the ultraprime 8r covers the full 5k. wicked.
Thanks Dino, even so I was hoping you guys there were had an ealry MP 12mm, that is the only MP we have not tested,
and confirm that the 14mm MP works beautifully and with the MD's gives a beautiful shorted DOF at that wide.
The RPP 18mm is also beautifully wide, hopping Red does pull out 14mm or even a 12mm!!
Not really interested in a 16mm
Really too bad that the 24-290 it is not covered at the Wide end, we are buying this Zoom and wanted to cover the full 5k
at the wide end, I guess we will have to wait and see how the Adaptor Mark mentioned will work.
