DAVINCI RESOLVE and ***HACKINTOSH***

Hi Noto,

fist off all.... please change your name since RedUser is a real name forum (see thread above from Tim).

I'm using the GTX480 in the third slot as GUI, just as you can see in the post you quoted. I'm not really sure whether an other GPU than a GTX 480 would work as a GUI. As far as I know all GPUs should be the same. Also I think I read that DaVinci is using half of the GUI GPU also for processing and that a slower GPU would slow the whole system down. Don't take that for granted, since I never tried it.

@ Luigi: I installed your CUDA Generation update, but get an error quite often when I try to shut down the PC. Did you run into the same problem?

This week I'll finally have some time to work with DaVinci on a feature film. Any issues with long projects? I graded until now only commercials with it, so I'm happy for any tips concerning longer projects. The film was shot on Canon DSLRs, so I'm using 10bit DPX files.

Many Thanks to Luigi and all of the RedUsers on this forum.

It took a month of research and a day of building, but overall the system went pretty smooth. This was my 8th osx86 build, and i am really happy w/ this machine so far. Here are my specs:

with team Insanelymac and IRESET i finish the new installer for 4 gtx evga 470 liquid coleed with Black magic 3d . this new installer inject directly the driver in dsdt table and the system is more better in performance and stability in Davinci system.

INSTALLER CUDA GENERATION 2 IS COMPLETE WITH CHAMELEON AND DRIVER AUDIO AND DRIVER NVIDIA FERMI AND ROM OF EVGA GTX 470, IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER GTX (ASUS,POWERCOLOR,ECC...)CONTACT ME FOR CUSTOM INSTALLER.

ok i added in the first page CUDA GENERATION 2 , and the old installer legacy for 3 gtx.
CUDA GENERATION 2 IS DESIGNED FOR ONLY 3 OR 4 gtx 470 EVGA, i work for the another installer with EVGA GTX 480 .NOT USE FOR OTHER GTX

THE NEWS IN THIS INSTALLER:

1. RESOLVE BUG SYSTEM ID
2. ADDED GRAFIC CARD IN DSDT TABLE
3. ETRA FORLDER ONLY 2 KEXT
4. ADDED AUDIO HDMI GFX
5. RESOLVE REPAIR PERMISSION

IS POSSIBLE TO UPDATE TO 10.6.7 BUT IF YOU HAVE A HANG FREEZE BACK TO 10.6.3 IN THIS MOMENT IS BETTER FOR P6T7 SUPERCOMPUTER .
