Looks like a nice configuration, very interested to see how it all works out!

For a RAID card, take a look at the ATTO R6xx cards. Areca also makes nice SATA/SAS RAID cards that work well under OSX and they're EFI bootable. The ATTO cards are the favorite for OSX use, but are not actually bootable on the Mac. They're very reliable with good performance and also work best for controlling LTO tape systems under OSX.

HighPoint RocketRAID cards are good too for eSATA RAID.

What Bios version are you on?

I like the Highpoint for a nice cheap Hardware Raid, I've been wanting to jump for the R680 soon.

I got the Areca 1880-i which supports Sata-6Gbs and is bootable under MacOSX. It's also manageable over ethernet since it has it's own ethernet port.

Yesterday was my first attempt at installing Hackintosh on my Asus P6T7... but I didn't got further than a grey screen with a mouse (after the Mac logo)... I hope that I'll have more success tonight

Here's a quick tutorial to install osx to any drive without burning or booting a Retail Install DVD, initially requires a Mac for setup and can be helpful even for installing to a Real Mac.

    1. Boot into any OSX install, Download program ShowallFiles.app. Or use any way to see hidden files.
    2. Create a .iso /.dmg of your Retail OSX Install DVD (optional, if installing multiple times very helpful)
    3. Navigate to your /System/Installation/Packages/ on the Retail Install DVD
    4. Find the file OSInstall.mpkg and open it. This is the Installer that runs when you boot the Install DVD.
    5. Follow through the dialog like you normally would if booted from a Install DVD. Make sure to change installer to target partition.
    6. You can update at this point, and install any files required for first boot.
    7. If for a real mac, you will need to bless System folder and setBoot

With this method, I can be installed, updated, booted, and configured in about 25minutes. Provided I have necessary files.

    thanks guys,

Jeff , Simplify the ATTO is the best you're right I also use it in the world television broadcast.
I would like to know from you what you think of the card Areca ARC-1880I, I think the price good quality, I long for your personal evaluation given your experience.

David is also your welcome, i wait your i screenshot of P6T7 ;)

I saw Jose in the post that you are an expert in Gigabyte UD9 , have you used the UD9 maybe a dump of the bios?
If you like we can put together ideas for two mainboard with 2 nf200.

Alex would you do a simple upgrade installation guide + step by step to e-mail so that it can be put in my guide, with screenshoot. Also if you have time and desire.
The bios using is 811 + 904 and the P6T7 is revion 2.0

    Thanks again to everyone
    excuse for my bad english
    Luigi

This is for single CPU (and I guess that's just fine for a DaVinci)

A complete list of components would have been great
