Thanks for giving us this Jim. It really clears things up and we all know how much there is to juggle over there at Red... (though I'm sure we really have no idea)
Great Stuff!!!

Wow - I have my eye on this closely. This will obliterate the F3 for those who are smart. Thanks for the update Jim. I will start saving - not just for the camera but for better security as well LOL.
Awesome! If these schedules actually move along - this pretty much replaces the F3 I was planning on purchasing.
so seems like red will be like the borgs, assimiliating fast.
but Red is a million times cooler.
btw. there was once talk about a 50-200 asa and 200+ asa mode.
is it there or simply not necessary?
@shawn every nature shooter will take epic x over s to get those wide landscape shots with redcode 5:1
So should I really wait for Epic, or if 5K Mysterium X is good enough for me, just buy a used Red One MX?
great way to start the new year. thanks for the update.
BAM - there it is. Sounds great...and seems to keep everything more streamlined and less confusing. I think adding HDR to your entire camera line-up makes a ton of sense and pushes you far ahead of the pack...REDCODE, RAW, HDR, 5K - that's the secret sauce.
a coupla questions...
will there be a weight differential?
are these chassis identical enough to shot an -S and an -X in a 3D config? I'm guessing the answer is yes...
